First Episode Addresses Caller's Questions on Hiring, Funding and Finance
As part of a partnership announced recently between the Southeast Michigan chapter of SCORE and StartupNation—a platform that has provided millions with the information, inspiration and connections they need to start, grow and manage a successful startup business—we are proud to announce the launch of a new radio program airing on WRJ in southeast Michigan and online everwhere at StartupNation.com.
The new series, called "Ask the Expert," features callers submitting questions to a panel of experts, hosted and moderated by Jeff Sloan and featuring certified volunteer mentors from SCORE to provide guidance, direction and support to small business owners and entrepreneurs looking for tips and advice. Chapter mentees and other business owners called in and raised questions on a wide range of issues, centering mostly on the topic of financing, funding and capital.
The "expert" providing her sage perspective and insights was Certified Volunteer Mentor Angela Mitchell. In addition to providing mentoring services for free to local small business owners, Angela is the owner and operator of DNA Financial Services, a full-scale financial services company specializing in bookkeeping and tax planning for small businesses. Armando Ojeda, also of SCORE served as the show's co-host, and something of an expert in his own right!
The first episode aired live on December 27th at 1:00 p.m., and future episodes are being produced and will air as time and space permit. Future episodes are planned to focus on other specific areas of interest, such as marketing, sales, human resources, technology, and so on.
